Künzing Greave

Pair of greaves suitable for impressions after 160 CE. Like one of the originals it has chains from riveted rings for fixing them to the leg. The chains pass through the large brass rings on the opposite side, then hook backwards into the chain. The greaves also have a liner after a find from Vindonissa. It consists of three layers of quilted handwoven linen, glued to a single layer of leather. There is also a similar liner find from Dura Europos, which had some straps attached to it, which would go around the leg to fix the liner. The Vindonissa liner was apparently glued to the greave, however we will send you the liner unglued, so that you could still attach some straps and wear it „Dura-Style“. Or you glue it on.
